Dr. Ed Holler

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]019Dr. Edward W. Holler is a seasoned building administrator with several years of experience as a consultant. Ed has a long history of work in schools. He began his career as a Social Studies teacher in his hometown near Pittsburgh. Later he moved to Virginia where he served as a teacher, Curriculum Coordinator and then Assistant Principal in Virginia Beach. He served as a building principal in Warren County, Virginia and in York County, Virginia for 20 years. He retired in 2012 to increase his opportunity to work as a consultant.

During Ed’s years in public education he has served as a Chairman of the Principal’s Center of Hampton Roads, Adjunct professor at Christopher Newport University and as Chairman of several SACS School Accreditation Visiting Committees in Virginia. He was selected as the 2001 Administrator of the Year in York County Public Schools and received the Meritorious and Distinguished Service Award from the Virginia Veterans of Foreign Wars, in 2005.

Ed has presented at national and state educational conferences and produced numerous publications on topics such as homework, student engagement, formative assessments, and standardized testing and assessments. He was selected to attend the 2002 Educational Leadership and Ethics Conference at Oxford University. On several occasions Ed has been asked to speak to groups about various educational topics, including school climate and instruction.

Ed possesses a keen ability to identify issues and provide useful solutions to schools in need of ideas and a structured approach to school improvement. Ed uses data to drive decision making and to guide school improvement plans.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
